Character Name:Sofia Alana Flint Age: Fifteen Date of Birth: September 2nd Year at Hogwarts: Fifth
Background: Sofia Alana Flint was born to Marcus and Pansy Flint on September 2th, unaware to the fact that she was not the first child born of Pansy's.
Daddy's little girl, Sofia was rarely seen from his side during childhood. She'd follow him around almost anywhere and everywhere (except, of course, during the times where he'd slip out to meet with the other Death Eaters). It was from Marcus that Sofia learned a lot about herself, and, in turn, got much of her arrogance.
Her father made it clear to her that she was better than most people at a very young age. Sofia was taught that she was a pureblooded witch, and that was something to be d**n proud of. She was supposed to hold her head high and never let anyone try to convince her otherwise. And, of course, Sofia would take this advice in stride. After all, anything her daddy said was what she should do. She never wanted to disappoint him.
The years before Hogwarts didn't go by fast enough. Sofia was constantly waiting, counting down each day, and complaining when it seemed to get more slow with each second. During these impatient years, Sofia began to grow a fondness for being outdoors.
It was pretty much the only distraction she ever had. If her mother or father weren't busy, sometimes they'd go out and get an early start on all the school work she'd be doing, learning the simple spells so she would be mastered in them by the time she was there. Marcus took pride in his daughter being the top gun, so he was constantly drilling her to perfection. When her parents were busy, Sofia would practice until she was satisfied with the day's work, and then go and sit in the family garden or walk the streets.
It was one of those nights after so much practicing that Sofia decided to take a nice long walk to settle down. She knew her dad would be waiting for her when she got back, ready to see how much progress she had made. She was so eager and excited to show him the new spell she mastered that she wasn't aware of the big dogs her neighbors usually chained up.
At this time, Sofia wasn't quite into her growth spurt yet. The large Doberman charged around the corner, nearly the same height as little Sofia, and raced toward her, drooling and snarling. Sofia, frightened, screamed and turned around to run. However, Sofia wasn't fast enough. The dog was on her within seconds, knocking her to the ground kicking and screaming. Luckily, her father was there, getting rid of the dog as fast as he could and taking home a sobbing torn up Sofia.
Sofia rarely ever left the yard after the incident with the dog, even if her height did start to gradually shoot up. She continued to wait out the years for Hogwarts in the safety of her own home, garden, or front yard, but never more than there unless she was with one of her parents.
And, finally, Sofia's wish finally came to her. She turned eleven and hurriedly rushed herself off to Hogwarts, leaving two grinning parents behind her at Platform Nine and three quarters. Personality: Before meeting Sofia, you might think she's a sweet girl. Her smile can often be deceiving, and almost look kind, but once you get to know her, you'll know that you are wrong.
Sofia's got an air of arrogance about her. She often thinks she's the best thing in the world, and she isn't very subtle when boasting. She's cold, conniving, cunning, vicious, malicious, and all of those other hateful little traits wrapped into a pretty little package. She's one of those girls that will either like you enough that she doesn't want to bite your head off, or she will bite your head off. It's a good thing to stay on Sofia's good or neutral sides; She can't and won't hurt you then.
Sofia is fairly vain and confident when it comes to her self-image. She takes great pride in the way she looks, and never believes someone when they tell her she is anything less than drop dead gorgeous. She is very aware of how she looks, often spending as much time in front of a mirror as her free time permits, and makes sure that she never has a bad hair/look/clothes/anything day.
Sofia isn't one of those people that's so d**n popular it's hard to believe, but it isn't like she isn't known. She doesn't like to blend into the background, so she makes a lot of appearances and doesn't try to be subtle about them. People know her name, be it by word of mouth or actually having an encounter with her. It is safe to say that at least half the male population of the school (well, mainly pure-blooded boys) has been in her company, and many of the girls had met her and have all ready decided on if they hate her or not.
Sofia’s Patronous is a Wyvern "A wyvern is a winged dragon found in medieval Europe. It symbolizes destruction, conquest and also pestilence. It is a predatory, violent and fierce animal. The wyvern is related to the basilisk. Although the wyvern is quite dangerous, they are also extremely intelligent, making these beasts a formidable opponent to anyone." +Confidence - If there's one thing Sofia's got plenty of, it has to be the confidence. Without a doubt, the hardest thing to do is insult Sofia's beauty. According to her, it doesn't matter what you say, she still knows what she is, and that's the end of the story. Other than being confident in looks, she's very confident in whatever she's doing, such as Quiditch, classes, talking to boys, etc. + Ambitious - Sofia knows what she wants and she'll work d**n hard to get it. She isn't very fond of failing, or doing less than best, so she's always trying to do better and get to where she wants to be. When she sets her mind to it, Sofia will do it, and she won't stop until it's done and perfect. +Cunning - Sofia doesn't use her brain to do any good. No, she generally uses it to devise up ways to get people to do things she wants them to do. Sofia's very good at the game of deception, and if it comes down to it, she'll do it. Her cunningness may also tie in with her ambition. When she sets her mind to it, she'll do it. If she wants a boy some other girl has, her ambition kicks in, and so does all the deception and cunning. +Straightforward - There is no beating around the bush when it comes to Sofia. She can be incredibly blunt. If there's anyone you need an honest answer from, without any holding back, Sofia is the person to come to. She doesn't care if she hurts your feelings or not, and she wouldn't apologize for a word she said. +Proud - Sofia is very proud of who she is. She's pureblood, and isn't afraid to flaunt it around. She's proud to be in Slytherin, as both her parents had been in, and extremely proud of the fact that she does well at almost everything she does. -Perfectionist - Sofia loves for everything to be perfect in her world. If it's not perfect, it's no good, and that definitely does not fly with her. She wants things to go the way she has planned, and it isn't a surprise when she ends up getting incredibly angry and upset when her perfect plans fail. -Vain - Mirror, mirror, how amazing is my figure? Sofia is incredibly vain. If there's one thing she's always sure of, it's that she's absolutely and positively gorgeous. Some people may think that Sofia has it all in her head that she's God's gift to men (if she believed in God), and that very well may be so. Sofia happens to have a very fond relationship with the mirror. -Conniving - It is not beyond Sofia to back stab someone. She'll do what she has to, and then more just for the hell of it. She doesn't often make a lot of friends. Instead, Sofia steps on a lot of toes and doesn't turn around to apologize. She just doesn't give a d**n. She doesn't regret a thing, and people shouldn't expect her to. -Temper - Sofia, like a lot of other Slytherins, has temper issues. It's very often that hers will slip away. Sofia tends to be very vicious when she has lost her temper, and she isn't going to hold back when someone has pissed her off enough. In a lot of ways, Sofia can be compared to a rattlesnake. She'll give you a bit of a warning when you piss her off, and then strike unexpectedly when you don't do as she pleases. -Malicious - Sofia doesn't give a d**n about anyone's well being or feelings, other than the people she ends up getting fairly close to. She isn't above fighting, and definitely isn't above fighting clean. She often hits below the belt. She'll do anything short of killing someone, and that isn't because she has something against murder. No, she thinks that it is better for someone to suffer than have instant death. The pain lasts longer, simply put.
Physical Appearance: Sofia's into fashion. She won't wear anything less than the best. When it comes to colors, Sofia generally sticks to whites, grays, blacks, and some darker colors like violet and deep burgundy. If people notice anything off the bat about Sofia, other than the fact that she is positively gorgeous, it would be her eyes. They are so striking and intoxicating. They can often be compared to the eyes of the Gorgon Medusa, only, instead of turning to stone, her subjects are merely just intoxicated by her. This usually only works on men. Sofia’s hair is her favorite thing about her, so blonde that it stands out among the crowd, as well as always seeming to be in the perfect position to make other girls around her feel insecure about their looks. Sofia is tall but not tall enough to tower over those around her, whenever her family would stumble into the muggle parts of London she was often approached by people asking if she modeled, it’s because of that her brothers believe that she became obsessed with her looks.
Sample Role-play: Sofia was bored, she had been stuck in this boring classroom for almost a bloody hour, and she hadn't really even done anything. It was all the Professors fault he hated Sofia, the reason as to why wasn't really know, but Sofia figured it was because she had been the only female student not fall down and beg for his attention. Sofia didn't beg, she was taught begging was a sign of weakness and if this ruddy professor wanted Sofia's attention than he had to do something other than being good looking. But he had once again put her into detention with him, because of the simple fact that she refused to flirt with him aimlessly during class, or any other time for that matter.
Sofia looked down at her nails and recoiled, they would have looked flawless to any other person but not to Sofia. They weren't prefect any long their was a tiny chip of polish missing from her onxy color pinky. She was tempted to pull out her nail polish and fix the nail right there but decided against it, it would be her luck that the professor would take the polish away from her and she would be left the rest of teh day possibly even week without her polish to do touch ups to.
Sofia put her hand beneathe her chin and looked towards the teacher, only to find him staring directly at her. Sofia continued to look and began tapping her free hand's nails against the classrooms mud colored desk, "Professor..." she asked in her sweet voice, "how much longer am I required to stay?" she inquired, she didn't mind the detention thing usually, but she did mind it today, today were quidditch try-outs and if she missed them she'd never hear the end of it, she was one of the best flyers the school had and without her Slytherin had a slim shot at winning the cup this year.
"About five more minutes and your hour with me is up Ms.Flint" the professor responded adding a flirtatious smile that said she could get out of here a lot quicker if she would just flirt with the bloody git.
Standing from her chair Sofia sauntered over to where the professor was sitting behind his desk trying to hide the smirk from her face as she saw the professor's eyes follow her body down the aisle."Professor" Sofia began in a sultry voice, "I was hoping you'd let me go now, quidditch try-outs started ten minutes ago and I would be awfully upset if I missed them." she said her eyes looking pleading making the gold in her eyes look even more striking as she leaned forward over the desk a little.
Sofia saw the Professor take an inward gulp of air before he replied in a shaky voice, "well...I...I..." He said having difficulty getting the words to form, "I suppose that would be fine. You are free to go Ms.Flint. And good luck." the professor said trying to regain his composure.
"Thank you Professor." Sofia said smiling as she grabbed her bags and fled the room. Once she had exited the classroom it took all her inward control not to laugh at the poor professor’s reaction to her. That is why she didn't flirt with him, he couldn't handle it, but then again not very many people could.
